Terms of Use
Effective Date: January 19, 2026
Version: 2.0
Service: TrustPrompt.io (the “Service”)
Company: Pulse Insights LLC (“Pulse,” “we,” “us”)
Plain English Summary
Before the legal language, here's what you need to know:
- We help reduce risk, not eliminate it. TrustPrompt detects and replaces sensitive data before you send prompts to AI, but no automated system catches everything. You should review what's being sent.
- Some features send data to third parties. Basic detection runs in your browser. But if you enable “Deep Analysis” or use our managed AI chat, data goes to third-party services.
- This isn't a compliance solution. TrustPrompt can help with privacy practices, but it doesn't make you HIPAA-compliant, GDPR-compliant, or anything-else-compliant. If you work in a regulated industry, talk to your compliance team first.
- You're responsible for what you submit. Don't paste someone else's confidential information unless you're authorized to.
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. What TrustPrompt Does (and Doesn't Do)
TrustPrompt is a privacy tool that detects sensitive information in text, images, and documents, replaces detected items with tokens, sends the sanitized prompt to an AI provider you choose, and restores tokens in the AI response back to original values in your browser.
We do not guarantee that all sensitive information will be detected. Our detection uses pattern matching, machine learning, and optional AI analysis—all of which have limitations.
2. Where Your Data Goes
By default, TrustPrompt processes your input entirely in your browser. Exceptions include Deep Analysis (sends original text to Together.ai), Managed AI Mode (sends tokenized prompts through our servers), and BYOK Mode (your browser connects directly to AI providers).
3. You Are Responsible for What You Submit
You must have the legal right and authority to process any input you submit, have obtained necessary consents, and not be violating any confidentiality agreements or legal obligations.
You must review the Sanitized Prompt before sending it to any AI provider. If you see sensitive information that wasn't detected, use the manual redaction tool or don't send it.
4. This Is Not a Compliance Solution
TrustPrompt is a privacy tool, not a compliance certification.
The Service is not designed or certified for use with data subject to HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, GLBA, PCI-DSS, SOX, FERPA, or attorney-client privilege protections. Consult your compliance team before using TrustPrompt for regulated data.
5. Third-Party Services
Sanitized prompts are processed by third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.). Each provider has its own terms of service and privacy policy. We cannot control or guarantee how these providers process your data.
6. Your Account and Credits
You are responsible for your account security. Credits have no cash value, may expire 30 days after issuance, and purchases are non-refundable except as required by law. Subscriptions can be managed through your account settings.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to reverse engineer the Service, probe for vulnerabilities without permission, harass or defraud others, upload malware, circumvent usage limits, or resell access without authorization.
8. Intellectual Property
We own the Service. You own your input. You grant us a limited license to process your input to provide the Service. AI outputs may be similar to outputs provided to others.
9. No Warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties that all sensitive data will be detected, that the Service will be uninterrupted, or that your use will satisfy compliance requirements.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pulse is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information that passed through detection. Total liability is capped at the greater of $100 or amounts paid in the preceding 3 months.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless Pulse from claims arising from your use of the Service, your input, or your violation of these Terms or any third party's rights.
12. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to enforce these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Disputes will be brought in Delaware courts.
15. General Provisions
- Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the rest continues in full force.
- Entire Agreement: These Terms plus our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement.
- No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision doesn't waive our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights. We may assign ours in connection with a merger or acquisition.
